Day Support Services

Provides day support for individuals with physical and sensory disabilities, offering a valuable break for both the individuals and the family members or informal carers who support them at home. The service promotes social inclusion, advocacy, and goal-focused support planning, empowering individuals to re-acquire skills, learn new ones, and maintain mental stimulation through meaningful social interactions.

By fostering active community participation, Inspire helps individuals build meaningful connections and develop a strong sense of belonging. Many attend as part of a care package arranged by a Care Manager with the London Borough of Bexley, seeking respite and a temporary break from the daily demands of caregiving, benefiting both themselves and their families.

In addition to Day Support Services many individuals attend Inspire to enjoy a well-deserved break from their daily responsibilities at home, providing a period of respite for both them and their families. Typically, service users participate as part of a tailored care package coordinated by a Care Manager from the London Borough of Bexley.

Inspire Community Trust supports a welcoming programme of activities across Bexley Village, Upper Belvedere and North Heath Community Libraries.

Each library offers a mix of children’s storytimes, craft sessions, book groups, digital support, coffee mornings and seasonal events.

These activities create friendly, inclusive spaces where residents of all ages can learn, connect and feel part of their community.

Inspire Community Trust offers supportive, person-centred Day Opportunities that help people build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy meaningful social connection.

Our team organises a varied programme of community outings – from local cafés and parks to museums, leisure activities and seasonal events – giving individuals the chance to experience new places in a safe, supported way.

Within our day centres, we provide structured activities, creative sessions, wellbeing support and opportunities to develop independence at a pace that suits each person.

Together, these services create a friendly, inclusive environment where people can enjoy their day, make friends and feel part of their community.

Inspire Community Trust provides flexible respite support designed to give carers a much-needed break while ensuring their loved ones receive safe, high-quality care.

Our respite services offer a supportive environment where individuals can enjoy meaningful activities, social interaction and personalised assistance from trained staff.

Whether for a few hours or a planned short stay, respite gives families time to rest, recharge and manage other commitments, knowing their loved one is being looked after with dignity, respect and understanding.
